What do WordPress and Clifford Brown have in common?

Well, I’m not quite sure why the WordPress developers named the most current version of WordPress after the the famous jazz trumpeter, Clifford Brown. My only guess is that his tunes inspired hours of hard work to bring us updated security, 52 bug fixes and enhanced features to make your site more responsive and connected.

Responsive images are a pretty big deal.
WordPress now takes a smarter approach to displaying appropriate image sizes on any device, ensuring a perfect fit every time. You don’t need to do anything to your theme, it just works. This helps decrease download time and improve your reader’s experience on your site.

Embedding  content just got easier.
Now you can embed your posts on other sites, even other WordPress sites. Simply drop a post URL into the editor and see an instant embed preview, complete with the title, excerpt, and featured image if you’ve set one. We’ll even include your site icon and links for comments and sharing. In addition to post embeds, WordPress 4.4 also adds support for five new oEmbed providers: Cloudup, Reddit Comments, ReverbNation, Speaker Deck, and VideoPress. What does this mean to you? It’s easier to relate back to relevant content that helps adds validity to your message.

What version of WordPress are you running?
My rule of thumb is to upgrade at least once a quarter so you’re never more than a few iterations behind. You’ll miss out on great new features and bug fixes that could make or break the user’s overall experience. Oh, and NEVER CLICK “PLEASE UPDATE NOW” in your WordPress dashboard without following these 5 Steps.
