3 Clues to Finding your Ideal Client

The answer to finding your ideal client
is hidden in the clues of your every day life.

This article is for my fellow entrepreneurs who are unclear about who their target market is and have experienced the pain of wasting time and money engaging the wrong type of clients. I will expose 3 clues to reveal exactly who your target market should be and how to start connecting with your ideal client.

Understanding Google Analytics

Google Analytics is one of the most widely used tools for website owners to analyze their viewers. Available free from Google, it can provide a wealth of valuable information about who is visiting your site and how they got there. But the sheer volume of information can be overwhelming, so this article will focus on some of the key metrics that all website owners should understand.

Here is a sample report from a small business website. Google Analytics reports are highly customizable, but we will focus solely on the standard report displays.

How I increased traffic 30 percent in 30 days

Experts stand out when they practice what they preach and here I was, an expert in web development and SEO who was embarrassed of my own website to the point that I was driving traffic away from my site and losing market share because of it.

I excused my poor performance on being so hyper focused on my clients’ websites so I neglected my own site. This excuse certainly wasn’t helping my search engine position or my sales. I knew I had to do something about it and FAST! My site sucked and it was costing me sales. I gave myself a 30-day challenge to turn that ship around and I increased my traffic 30 percent in 30 days.

My First Webinar

The day had arrived. I had successfully launched my first webinar campaign. After a print ad, facebook referrals, a landing page with an opt in form, an email campaign, and several facebook follow up posts I had 10 participants.

The time was here. I could see the numbers jump up in the chat bar: 7 … 8 … 9. The seconds were ticking down on the video embed for the LIVE webinar: 20 … 19 … 18. I’d been building up to this moment. I’d tested my systems. I’d practiced my presentation. I was ready to make a big impression and bring amazing value to 10 lucky people.

Then, I clicked a button; the wrong button. The webinar counted down: 3 … 2 … video cannot be displayed. OOOOOHHHH NOOOOOOO!!!!
